How to Transfer Muscle Memory: The Complete Guide to eDPI
One of the most frustrating things about switching from CS2 to Valorant (or trying out a new game like Apex Legends) is the feeling that you have "lost your aim." Your flicks miss, your tracking is jittery, and your hand feels disconnected. The culprit is almost always mismatched sensitivity.
Here is how you perfectly transfer your muscle memory using Sens-Convert.
Rule 1: Understand Game Engines are Different
A sensitivity of 2.0 in Counter-Strike 2 is not the same as 2.0 in Valorant or Overwatch. Each game engine applies a different mathematical multiplier to your raw mouse input.
For example, to match a 2.0 CS2 sensitivity, your Valorant sensitivity must be ~0.628.
Rule 2: Protect your cm/360
The physical distance your mouse travels to perform a complete 360-degree turn in-game is known as cm/360. This is the holy grail of muscle memory. If your cm/360 is exactly 40 centimeters in CS2, it must be exactly 40 centimeters in Valorant.
By using a professional converter, you guarantee that your hand sweeping across your mousepad generates the exact same visual result on your screen, regardless of the game you are playing.
Rule 3: Account for FOV (Field of View)
The only variable that breaks perfect mathematical conversion is Field of View.
CS2 is played heavily in 4:3 stretched resolutions, which distorts the horizontal FOV. Valorant locks players into a 16:9 103-degree FOV. Because the "zoom level" is different, moving your crosshair 100 pixels in CS2 might feel visually faster than moving it 100 pixels in Valorant, even if the cm/360 is perfectly matched.
How to Adapt
Do not panic if a perfectly converted sensitivity feels "slightly off" for the first 10 minutes. This is your brain adjusting to the new FOV, not a failure of your muscle memory.
Jump into our 3D Aim Trainer, spend 5 minutes doing Gridshot with your newly converted sensitivity, and your brain will instantly synchronize the familiar hand movement with the new visual FOV. You will be clicking heads in your new game in no time.
